Onboard the Nippon Maru

Among the amenities are a pool, observation decks, piano lounge, sportsdeck, japanese room, library, store, a 2 store concert hall complete with lights, sound system and projection booth, the grand baths, buffet style dining room and a stadium-seating style theatre.

There are 120 Japanese youth on board and 12 from each other delegation (in total, 150 non-Japanese participants, 120 Japanese) with ages ranging from 18 - 31.

Living Arrangements

"I found that sharing a small cabin with a kawai (cool) Japanese girl and charming Mauritian dancer was extremely fulfilling, to say the least!  It was definitely one of the best parts of the SWY experience for me; to live in such intimacy with PY's from other countries.  You get to share very previous moments, your ups and downs, as well as your reflections about the trip that are not only essential to staying balanced but also allow you to be sincere in your experience and remain grounded." - Mylene, SWY 18.
